Michael Richards, known for his portrayal of the eccentric Cosmo Kramer on "Seinfeld," made a public appearance on April 30 at the premiere of Jerry Seinfeld's latest movie, "Unfrosted." Richards, dressed in a paisley shirt, blazer, and glasses, attended the event for the Netflix film, held at the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles.

Beloved for his role as Jerry's quirky neighbor Kramer, Richards, now 74, won three Emmy Awards during his tenure on "Seinfeld." Since the show ended in 1998, he has had limited acting credits, including a lead role in the short-lived "Michael Richards Show" in 2000. Richards has also maintained a relatively low profile following a controversial incident in 2006 when he made racially insensitive remarks during a stand-up comedy performance in Los Angeles.

In a humorous turn of events, Richards later referenced the incident while guest-starring on an episode of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" in 2009, playing a fictionalized version of himself. He was part of a pseudo-"Seinfeld" reunion during that season of the HBO series.

Richards is set to return to the spotlight with the release of his memoir, "Entrances and Exits," scheduled for June 4. Seinfeld has contributed the book's foreword. The memoir promises to offer insights into Richards' life as both a comedy genius and a human being, tracing his artistic journey and personal experiences.

Meanwhile, fans eager for a Seinfeld fix can anticipate "Unfrosted," a film loosely based on the creation of Pop-Tarts, which will debut on Netflix on May 3. Though Richards is not involved in the movie, a new promotional video for the film includes nods to "Seinfeld," featuring characters such as Schmoopie, Jackie Chiles, and the Soup Nazi.
